About Jesus
God is passionate about you. I know that sounds crazy but it is truth. In a world where truth is so abstract, this is the only truth you can build your life upon. How do we know this? Because God proved it by sending Jesus Christ. The Bible simply says in the famous reference John 3:16-18 (NIV),
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
By that I am sure you’d agree a lot rests on the way we respond to that verse. Is it truth or fiction? Does it affect me in any way? Do I need to think about this? Well, the answers are found in faith. The Bible says that faith is believing in what you do not see. Just like we believe the wind exists and that oxygen enables us, so too belief in Jesus must be taken as a reality of life. Though you may not see His physical body, the effects of His divine love have echoed through the centuries and is still changing countless lives today in every corner of the globe.
I know thousands of critics would be jumping up and down at any mention of Jesus being God’s Son and that His death redeemed mankind from forever in hell and a life of meaninglessness, but that doesn’t change truth. Jesus came to give you life. Abundantly in the here and now and eternally forever. I want to say it again…GOD IS PASSIONATE ABOUT YOU!
I have included a link to a sermon I preached awhile ago about God’s passion for you. Feel free to download it and listen to the extent to which God went to reach you. If you are moved to respond to God’s love through what Jesus has done, then I encourage you to pray this prayer to invite Jesus into life as best you know how…
“Jesus, thank you for loving me and making this relationship with God the Father possible. As much as I understand I invite you into my life to become my God, my Saviour and my Friend. I don’t want to be separated from You anymore, so please forgive me of my sins and make me right with You. I accept that You died for my sins on that cross and that I am now free. Show me Your love so that I can have a deeper understaning of who You are. I make a commitment to follow You, to serve You and to love You. Thank You for saving me from a life without You. Amen.”
I want to congratulate you on making the best decision of your life! I say that because this decision, unlike any other, will not only affect your life now but will carry through into eternity. It amazes me how those simple words can change your destiny forever…Well done!
If you prayed that prayer we’d love to hear from you so that we can help you in your next steps. Contact us via our details on this website to let us know about your decision. The best days are ahead of you and we want to make sure you are well supported and encouraged.
Thanks for turning to Jesus, He will never leave you stranded or alone.
